This is an original antique company history type book issued by the New York Underwriters Agency on the occasion of the company’s 50th Anniversary in 1914.  The title page reads:

This book is unpaginated and still in the original pictorial hardcover binding with lots of photos and several beautiful full color double page illustrations of major historical fires like the Chicago Fire of 1871, the San Francisco Fire of 1906 and the Burning of Moscow in 1812 among others.   This book has lots of detailed information on the history and operations of the New York Underwriters Agency and the role of the company in rebuilding after major fire destruction.
This is the privately issued first edition.   The covers show some wear on the edges.  The front hinge is partly cracked but binding is still well intact.   There is a bit of foxing on the edges.  Overall condition is very good.  Email any questions.   Thanks for looking.
