SCREW PLATE
, Made in Melkhior (or “German Silver”) alloy, 33 mm wide. Heavy, solid quality piece.
This screw plate is from 1950s-80s, and it is designed to fit any screw back type Soviet order of that period, such as post-WW2 Orders of the Red Star, Order of the Patriotic War 1st / 2nd cl. of 1985 type, or Order of Service to Homeland in the Soviet Armed Forces. It may also work as a replacement for a lost screw plate on some WW2 badges such as Guards badge. Please note however that although it will usually fit screw post of a WW2 Soviet order – including screw back type Red Banner, WW2 era Order of Patriotic War, or Order of Alexander Nevsky – sometimes the fit may be too tight. If it doesn’t work, we recommend not to force it, as you may damage the screw post – you may send the screw plate back to us for a full refund (we are in New Jersey – no need to send it across the ocean!)
