Order of the Red Banner for Military Valor
Description of the insignia of the Order II type (1940)
The front side of the badge of the Order of the Battle Red Banner is a convex five-pointed star covered with red enamel. Beams of diverging flat rays (seven rays in each) are located between the ends of the star. The upper part of the order is covered by a red banner unfurled to the right with the letters "B.N.M.A.U" separated by four dots.
In the center of the order, on a round medallion, there is the coat of arms of the Mongolian People's Republic (type II, first variety). The coat of arms is covered with red, blue and yellow enamel.
At the bottom of the coat of arms are attached overhead crossed rifle and saber. Under the coat of arms is a green enamel garland of lotus leaves.
The reverse side of the badge of the order is smooth, concave, and has a soldered threaded pin with a nut in the center for attaching to clothing. In the upper part there is an embossed two-line inscription “Monetary yard”. The number of the award is engraved at the bottom. In the center there are traces of three rivets, with the help of which the central medallion is attached to the obverse.
