On July 31, 1956, by order of the
head of the
Air Defense
of the USSR
general N.P. Dudorov
No. 2/493, the "Regulation on the badge of encouragement of the
Air Defense
of the USSR" and the establishment of the badge -
"Excellent Air Defense Soldier
of the USSR" was approved.
The right to award the badge "Excellent Air Defense Soldier" to the personnel of the units, formations, headquarters, services of the Air Defense, as well as the heads of the
Air Defense
facilities and instructors-social workers in air defense is granted to the head of the
Air Defense
of the USSR - the first deputy minister of internal affairs of the USSR for the
Air Defense
, the chief of staff of the Air Defense of the republics. Together with the badge "Excellent Air Defense Soldier" a certificate for the right to wear it is awarded with the signature of the awardee, sealed with a stamp. The sign is worn on the right side of the chest.
