    Researched Soviet Russian USSR Order of the Patriotic War 2nd Class with serial number in the 730000 range awarded to
    Sergeant Mikhail Grigorevich Petrosyan
    , a signalman in the 138th Army Mortar Regiment, for bravery in combat in February 1945.
    During fighting in Germany, Petrosyan repaired 30 breaks in the telephone wires, thus enabling his regiment’s
    120mm mortars
    to effectively support the advancing Soviet infantry.
