Description

A set of awards for a veteran of the armed forces . The set consists of the Medal "Veteran of the Armed Forces of the USSR" - the state award of the USSR.
The medal was founded by Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on May 20, 1976. The picture of the medal was made by artist R. M. Pylypiv. The Medal "Veteran of Soviet Armed Forces" was awarded to Soviet Army, Soviet Navy, Border Guards and internal troops, who served in the Soviet Armed Forces for 25 or more calendar years with faultless service.
The Medal for Irreproachable Service is a departmental medal established by joint order of the Minister of Defense of the USSR, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the USSR and the Chairman of the State Security Committee of the USSR on January 25, 1958.
According to the statute, the Medal "For Irreproachable Service" is awarded to soldiers of the Soviet Army, Navy, troops and bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR, troops and bodies of the State Security Committee under the USSR Council of Ministers, who served in the corresponding structure for at least 10 years and had no penalties for the period of service.
The Medal "For Irreproachable Service" is awarded by the Minister of Defense of the USSR, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the USSR or the Chairman of the State Security Committee of the USSR.
The Medal "For Irreproachable Service" consists of three classes:
Medal of I degree (for 20 years of impeccable service)
Medal of II degree (for 15 years of irreproachable service)
Medal of III degree (for 10 years of irreproachable service)
