VTG SOUVENIR PLATE ICE MINE COUDERSPORT, PA MADE IN JAPAN

Up for sale we have this vintage collectible souvenir plate from the Ice Mine in Coudersport, PA made in Japan.
Please study the photos as they are an important part of the item description.  First off, this plate is in used but very nice condition with no chips, cracks or repairs present.  I believe this plate to be from the 1960's but I'm not certain.  As a child I visited the ice mine in the 1960's.  The ice mine was indeed a freak a nature.  You walked into this cave and you looked down into this large pit which was lined with frozen ice in the summer, and in the winter, the ice would melt.  Expert claimed that this was a geothermal abnormality.  I'm not sure if the ice mine is still there or not.  The stand alone weight of this plate is 12 oz.  Indeed a great addition to your vintage collectible Pennsylvania souvenir collection.
