Description
From a Tucson estate is this WW2 Russian Order of the Patriotic War 2nd Class, an original 1945 (read wartime) award with appropriate screw back fitting. The Type 2 badge has a centrally affixed solid gold hammer and cycle held by rivets - the surrounding enamel work well accomplished as befitting the era of crafting. There is a requisite mint mark struck indented to the back and an award number "504381 " correctly engraved below, the latter confirming an issuance around April or May of 1945 according to charts on line. Condition is quite fine with an aura of time to the surfaces - while genuinely won and worn in the time of the Great Patriotic War, the recipient obviously took care of his award. The enamel is well preserved and all intact, showing just the typical and expected micro contact marks from proud wearing while serving the motherland. There are no cracks or chips or any losses. The screw post is unaltered original length and straight, and the domed wheel nut turns securely on the post threads as proper. A look at the pics should give a good idea of appearance and condition - a very charismatic example. Size is about 1 13/16 in. vertical and 1 3/4 in. horizontal. I don't know what else need be said, so there you are.Payment Terms
